Jacek Niegoda is author of video works and artistic actions and interventions. His works are characterised by a highly humorous elements, which in a surprising and critical manner comment on everyday reality. In 2005, he received an honorable mention at the 11th International Media Art Biennale WRO 05 in Wroclaw. Jacek Niegoda was one of the founders of the artistic group Central Office of Technical Culture (CUKT). In 2000, the group realised the project “Victoria Cukt” which confronted Poland with a virtual candidate for the presidential elections. He participated actively in the creation of the most important art institution in Gdansk: The Wyspa Progress Foundation and Open Atelier (later transformed into Laznia Center for Contemporary Art). He lives and works in Gdansk.
